The organization has been reported to have issues relating to the dissatisfaction of employees as well as poor performance. This has caused the well-considered manager of the company to resign. On the other hand, Khan is required to reverse the organization’s performance within two years failure to which his high-potential status would be in jeopardy. Khan is contemplating on whether or not to take the job. This is because he is going to be assigned a group that has been known for failing and has various issues. The suppliers of Tek may have an impact on the costs that the organization incurs. This is because the clout of the suppliers relies on scarcity. Thus, if Tek cannot buy from many different suppliers, they may have little room for negotiation.

The customers impact the organization depending on their purchasing power. The customers of Tek Company have little purchasing power which has, in turn, affected how the leaders of the company make decisions about the products and advertising methods for their products. This is because the new managers do not believe in his abilities to handle the position he has been offered yet his friend believes in him about his management experience in a cross-cultural team setting. The outgoing manager warns him of the challenges surrounding the position yet he lacks an awareness of the issues in his managing expertise. Additionally, for managers to emerge as effective, they are required to develop synergy among themselves, and they also require to be complemented by the rest of the team members to reach their shared goal (Treviño, Weaver, & Reynolds, 2006).

This demands that group members understand each other’s culture and maintain respect amongst themselves. However, one’s of Tek’s managers displayed insensitivity towards the cultural practices of his team members through his preconceived ideas. On the other hand, the less-fluent employees may hesitate in raising their questions which may be a way of disguising the weak skills by questioning the efficacy of the employees they failed to understand. This may result in distant as well as uncaring interpersonal association among the members of a team (Madera, Dawson, & Neal, 2014). A person-focused type of communication usually centers on the characteristics rather than the event. Also, it conveys the impression that an individual is not adequate. The issues of poor team performance are caused by the lack of effective leadership in the team.

The organization may also resolve cultural issues through cultural activities. This will help employees to learn more the existing cultures within the organization. Cultural activities will set a path for employees to enhance the similarities in their cultures and allows them to find common ground for their cultures (Podsiadlowski et al. Furthermore, it will help them expand their horizons to collaborate in a relaxed environment as well as strengthen their associations. The suggested solution for communication issues is by the use of a common language of communication in the workplace. They may also have the opportunity of tasting the different foods presented by a particular culture during lunch hours. The manager may choose English to be the official and common language of communication.
