The global working nurses
Document Type:Research Paper
Subject Area:Health Care
Others work in other cities and countries which implies that they have to understand the best way to perform their daily functions. Nurses are important stakeholders in the healthcare sector because they offer services that contribute to the recovery of the patients. Their roles have a positive impact on the patients and they also give the doctors an easy time when taking care of the sick. When doctors and nurses work together, it implies that they have an opportunity to assist each other and ensure that they provide the required quality to the patients. Nurses go through training to ensure that they can cope with the different types of patients and work together with the other people in the healthcare sector. Reason for the topic I chose this topic because most of the global nursing workforce has faced challenges when coping with the new environment.
Some of the nurses have also given up their career because they have a stressful working environment which makes it hard for them to deliver. Others do not have an opportunity to express their frustrations encountered in the working environment. Some of the nurses have worked in foreign nations and have managed to overcome the challenges by developing other skills including cultural competence. However, a large percentage of the nurses have expressed their dissatisfaction because they feel that the legislators have failed them in different ways (Oulton, 2006). This means that they will have to relocate from Miami and start a new life in a different country away from their homes. It is expected that these nurses will face challenges as they try to cope with the new working environment, diversity and sometimes the surrounding environment.
Some of these challenges have made it hard for the nurses to succeed in their work especially if they cannot overcome the challenges. Some nurses have also expressed their dissatisfaction where the legislators fail to take care of their needs even as they work in other parts of the world. As a way of requesting the aid from the Miami government, I would express my understanding of the nature of challenges which the nurses face as they perform their daily functions in countries far away from their own. Some of the challenges which nurses face arise from lack of understanding of the expectations of patients from other parts of the world. If the nurses go through the learning activity with the incorporation of the needs from other parts of the world, it will become possible to understand what the world expects from them as they join the workforce.
The American Nurses Association should also allow the nurses to go through their internship programs in different cities and countries which will enable them to have a better understanding of the global operations after they complete their studies the Miami County government should also provide funding to the nurses as a way of giving them an opportunity to have global experience in different parts of the world where they would practice their profession (Montayre, Montayre & Holroyd, 2018). Some of the nurses would become better in the performance of their activities if they have the right working environment and conditions. I would let the Miami government understand that its support would positively impact on the nurses since they will get an opportunity to practice and exercise their skills thus making the effective in their roles.
Once denied the opportunity, working in other nations will only make their profession harder as they may not meet the requirements. Through globalization, other professions have incorporated more skills that will enable people to understand their roles in the society. Many countries have also joined hands to ensure that there is the supply of resources and facilities that will make their operations successful. The global workforce has to learn and develop the skills of cultural competence. Cultures differ based on the values of the people. The nurses should have an opportunity to work in various parts of the world without encountering many challenges as they do today. References Baltzell, K. McLemore, M. Shattell, M. Rankin, S.
