After experiencing a moment of “death,” they each find themselves doing extraordinary things, including performing exemplary in their lines of duty and showing remorse for their past sins (Bergesen & Greeley 87). Seth eventually falls in love with Meg and shows a longing to the sensory world he only observed in the past but cannot experience.
