Illegalizing this act does not wash away the scenes that bring up the strange reasons for abortion. For a very long time now, the topic of abortion has been in public limelight as the most controversial topic ever. There are two groups of people existing taking sides, those supporting the idea of abortion known as the pro-choice and those that are anti or against the idea, pro-lifers. The choice for you to belong or not depends on your perception of the matter, and how morally you view the situation surrounding it. Encyclopaedia dictionary defines abortion as the ending of a pregnancy by removing the fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus, when there is an ending of pregnancy due to accidents, it is termed as a miscarriage, but a deliberate abortion is referred to as induced abortion.

Wade made the ruling as abortion legal in America. This decision was made based on the fact that women have individual rights to privacy, and that fetus is part of a woman body (Petchesky, 1984). Before legalization of the abortion in America, for instance, the deaths related to abortion was ranked sixth in the whole country, this increased cases of deaths show people are not ready for pregnancies yet, and many cases happen out of mistakes (Singh, 2006). This mistake ranges from rape, incest, unplanned sex and youths pregnancies. For example in a situation of a rape case and a victim, unfortunately, get pregnant, forcing somebody to carry that pregnancy is cruel, the baby will be reminding her of the lousy ordeal, and even the child will be subjected to emotional and physical abuse.

Removing the embryo or the fetus should not be a big deal, it is not alive anyway for as long as the intended reasons are good. Science also shows that the first twenty weeks after fertilization is like a brain dead person with no self-awareness and does not experience pain (Nielsen, 1995). In conclusion, based on the arguments and explanation above is that the underlying guiding principles to defining what is right and wrong in case of abortion should thus be left to individual level. Passing a policy which limits people in this case of abortion does not in any way help as observed above, that backstreet and illegal abortions which are very deadly will be embraced since mistakes are inescapable. The choice should be that if you feel it is right to procure, you be given an opportunity to do so, and if you think contrary then go ahead and escape it in any way possible.
