No one seemed to understand, all they want to do is prove the point that abortions are a sin and that taking to the life of an unborn child will result in punishment in the afterlife. As she snapped back to reality, she realized what she must do. Imagine a world where women were entitled enough to make their own decisions with their bodies and have the necessary means to do what they want without being judged. We live in a world where women get judged for many things such as what they wear, how they present themselves and what they choose to do with their bodies. Abortion shouldn’t be one of those things for numerous reasons. In addition, the topic of abnormalities in the fetus and if the fetus can experience pain after a certain amount of weeks is well discussed.

Most women decide not to have an abortion because of the backlash or judgment that stems from it. The term “late-term” abortion does not bare its meaning as it used in the description of the abortion act (Jennifer et al, 4). Gynecologists and medical practitioners argue that the phrase "late-term abortion" has no clinical meaning. According to Jennifer, "late-term" in pregnancy implies going beyond 41 weeks gestation or past patient’s due dates. Women sometimes do not want to keep the child if they have fetal abnormalities because there are not enough services for people with disabilities in the United States. The pro-choice movement should become the pro informed Choice Movement because when dealing with disabilities a mother should be able to choose whether she keeps her baby or not.

This is because it is the responsibility of the mother to give the right maternal care to the baby and if he/she has complications, it means increased cost of service to the baby and probably the mother has no the financial ability. Pro-life activists Douglas Johnson suggest that the mother should have the child regardless of how Nature made the child (Johnson et al, 2). It would be more unethical to give birth to unwanted children who cannot be cared for (Cline et al, 4). The law also removes abortion from the state's criminal code in order to protect doctors and medical professionals who perform abortions from criminal prosecution ((Marco et al, 1). The reproductive act now allows medical professionals who are not even doctors to perform abortions in New York.

Andrew Cuomo said that the law would grant women the fundamental right to control their own bodies (Marco et al, 1). Although it was against the previous old law which had legalized abortion through imposing criminal penalties on abortion, the Act received much praise by many Americans. They argued that signing of the act would answer women’s cry for their protection. Nicole Malliotakis protested against the bill. (Marco et al, 3). Women abortion under the help of the traditional medical people was also received with criticism by some of Americans, They argued that only doctors licensed by the Roe v. Wade and licensed physician should be the only professionals who have the right to perform an abortion. They also argued that legalization of abortion in America would mean that the even assaulting of the fetus by the woman there would be no prosecution.

Charlie Baker said Monday that he supports Massachusetts’ current abortion laws (Schoenberg et al, 4). In conclusion, the new law on abortion in the U. S. only stipulates what the states stand for but does not directly participate in the action of abortion. The ethics of abortion should include the ethics of sex since this is the primary cause of pregnancy. The decision to abort or not should solely be left to the woman but they need to be educated on the moral and healthy lessons so that they arrive at a right decision based on her social and economic status as well as the state of health of the fetus.
