Amendment of Anti abortion Laws
In most cases, it is performed in the initial 28 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion has been illegal for the previous years because it was a dangerous procedure as demonstrated by the high mortality rates. Therefore, any abortion bans put in place were to protect the lives of women. Abortion was also illegal because it was considered a sin, and thus the strict laws were designed to punish individuals as well as act as a deterrent to protect precious lives. Furthermore, the abortion bans were meant to protect the fetus regardless of the extent of the critical situation. S. The bill also includes persons that were former slaves. Furthermore, according to the 14th amendment all citizens are equally protected by the laws. The Roe v. Wade case was famous because it was the case that the supreme court ruled that it was unconstitutional to have in place restrictions against abortion.
The doctor, therefore, arranged for the termination of the unborn child. I do not regret my decision to abort the child because it guaranteed my safety as well as ensured that I do not give birth to a child that would suffer extensively or not even live for a long time. July 9th 2018 marked the beginning of a new era in relation to the 14th amendment because President Trump nominated Kavanaugh to replace Kennedy. Kennedy’s replacement was a republican. This was the first time in nearly a century that a judge in the U. The disease is hard to treat and is significantly aggressive. When I received the news that I had cancer, I was shocked and overwhelmed. I felt as if my life was out of control because the first thought that crossed my mind was whether I was going to live or how much time I had to live.
I was more concerned though for the unborn child I was carrying rather than my health. My fears were confirmed when the child had to be aborted because of the extent of damage the medication was having on him. There are contradictory studies that indicate that chemotherapy has a minimal to no impact on the birth of the child. These studies claim that the birth length and weight of the child are not affected by chemotherapy. On the other hand, a majority of the studies conclude that one of the most significant outcomes of chemotherapy on an expectant mother is that she will give birth to an underweight child as well as one who is shorter than the recommended birthrate — the weight and length as just the beginning of the shortcoming of such babies.
The statistics regarding abortion are broad. They range from the annual count of abortions to the extent to which various techniques contribute to the reduction of abortion rates. This high rate of abortion in the U. S. is on the basis of unwanted pregnancies because teenagers and young adults are not ready for parenthood. Mothers receiving cancer treatment expose their unborn children to small gestational age. Gestational age means that the birthweight of the fetus could potentially fall below the 10th percentile of age-matched and sex-matched controls. Another study indicated that as much as 4 million births that are singleton as per the Swedish national registries. These births have been reported to result because of the inclusion of a cancer diagnosis as well as an increase in the possibility of stillbirths. Nonetheless, some studies indicate that regardless of the children that are underweight at birth, in roughly three years they are bound to catch up with their agemates (Nikolić, Samardžić and Krstić 661).
The emotional outcome before and after abortion ranges from denial to flashbacks, anger, anxiety, and even depression. Mothers that abort their unborn children will go through denial regardless of the reasoning for abortion. In most scenarios, anger would result because of denial (Fader, Java and Tenney 463). The mothers that had to abort or chose to abort or were forced to abort would direct their anger to the individuals whom they feel compelled them to make those decisions. For instance, in the case where the partner of the expectant mother forced her to abort, she would direct the anger towards him. Other situations would involve the projection of anger to the mother that pushed the daughter to abort and left her to deal with the outcomes on her own. The reaction of anger by the women who decide to abort is because of the loss in the same manner anybody would be angry because of the loss of a close friend or relative.
Furthermore, women are free to choose to do as they please with their bodies. Therefore, it is wrong for individuals that have never experienced similar traumatic events to the women seeking the freedom to have abortions to shun the women for their decisions. Furthermore, as if it is not enough to prevent them from practicing their right, going a step further to avoid them is merely discriminatory. It is essential to emphasize the fact that because it is a woman’s body, it is her choice to do as she pleases or as she sees fit. In conclusion, abortion is a valid option for women suffering from cancer. Gynecologic oncology vol. no. pp. Faúndes, Anibol and Laura Miranda. Ethics surrounding the provision of abortion care.
