According to Ann Quidlen’s story, the two gender difference can even get widen because boys and girls or women and men are not willing to mingle. Quidlen explains the reason boys and girls could not dance together during the party because of the big gap between them (72). However, the interaction between the two gender is very important since it prepares the two genders for partners and finally for marriage.
Additionally, where there is widening gap between the two sexes, people cannot work with harmony since mingling to share ideas is not effective (72). Women perceive men to be different from them, “we are the other from men” (73). In the essay, “Between Sexes,” by Quidlen, it clear that the gap keeps widening in the society since women are ignored by their husband and their responsibilities are unequal to those of men. Additionally, girls and boys cannot dance together during the party hence keeping the gulf huge (Quidlen 72). Experience pain rather than show fear (317). For example, one of the two boys from school hit one on the fore face to the extreme of falling, instead, the boy did not physically show pain but internally was affected (Katz, 320). Description Racial discrimination is a worse thing one can get when he or she is in a foreign nation. The author of this essay describes several accounts on which he is harassed by the police officers or feared by white people especially women. Women take pace when they meet the black men especially in isolated areas in a fear that the men could harm them. Therefore, the issue of stereotyping is very hazard to black people since they finds themselves being harassed by police officers or discriminated by the whites. Journalized finds it difficult to collect information from dangerous places since they will obviously be stereotyped as dangerous themselves (Brent 142).
