In this research paper I am focusing my attention on the reasons behind the building of the ancient Egyptian culture monuments and also to find the reasons as to why the ancient Egyptians chose to build those monuments in such a way. For each of the above said point of reference, I embarked on a serious reading with a note taking procedure so as to key down important points that are relevant to my topic of the day. Again I saw it as a good thing to consider looking in the internet for google books and also to be able to get newly updated versions of books with information on the history of ancient Egypt. In this essay, I will be researching these said monuments for instance block statues that had begun their breakout during this time mentioning there background, importance, and then the statues that were used in the tombs of the recent kings that are used to guard their tombs, and for the people they had ruled and each of their impacts on this culture.

To begin, the ancient Egypt kingdoms had their arts or rather monuments very powerful. Their ideas on most of the dynasties worked when they were ruling; its true foundation came from what they believed in. After the tenth dynasty, Nebhepetra Montuhotep had been going through the process of reunification gradually for over many years after he had his final victory over the last dynasty, then Egypt was united under a new strong central government (Robins, 178). Since, the new start they were in need for a change and because of that these changes were ideological, because of the abandonment of a style that was developed during a chaotic division of the time. An interesting fact that was stated about these monuments is that there is indeed a special kind of statues that include those cowering figures that have been enveloped and further placed as the ancient Egypt model boats with the aim of depicting Abydos and pilgrimage which are part of their funeral ceremonies (Schulz, 26).

Which then lead into a deeper search of the presentations of the statues, and what they usually were designed to look like. The size of the statue usually depended on the social status of the person, and functional context (Robbins, 182). These statues never represented any of the kings or deities, but they did generally represent specific private individuals who were male and adult, and they were generally sculpted in variously different hard and soft stones (Schulz, 26). With there still being a lot is unclear when it comes to figuring out who these figures are representing it is and as stated before they could be specific individuals or maybe just unnamed intermediaries between worshippers and gods. Conclusion To wrap this up, research on the ancient Egypt monuments that have ranges from the writings on the papyrus to the block statues and lastly to the three dimensional buildings that are basically the great pyramids of Egypt that served as another home for the gods of Egypt in their afterlife, has been an interesting subject matter of my research.
