Business goals and alignment with the project objectives

The main reason why this is important is as follows; Whenever a given project is conceptualized, it is done in relation to the goals of the business. Businesses undertake various projects during their development to enable them to get closer to their vision; therefore one must understand what the company seeks to gain from a project before undertaking a management position. Once this has been realized, the project manager will be able to visualize how to organize the different elements of the project to ensure that the milestones and end goals that are achieved are in line with the goals and objectives of the business (Milosevic & Srivannaboon, 2006). There are many different strategies that a project manager can employ to ensure that he/she achieves this alignment.
