Unlike Buckett, the Tempest is quite straight forward. The idea of establishing justice surrounds the play offering themes of fate, injustice and creation of an end goal. On a different point of view, The Tempest differs from the Buckett. There is a happy ending established by Shakespeare. Magic and tricks are present unlike in the Buckett. A comparison between the Square also creates an illusion of similarities. Buckett is an enactment of French theatrical which follows the Existentialist philosophy. They believe that life is in differentiated ways absurd thus human rationality is not enough to understand its setting. The play shows that life is meaningless as has been shown by Endgames subscription to circularity. They is however comedy and satire used to make the sorrow somewhat mild for instance, Winnie defines tragicomedy when she says that there is nothing funnier than unhappiness.

In a way both drams show people that have tried to understand why things happen the way they do but never seem to. They are thus changed to accept the reality as they understand it. While the Tempest offers a happy ending, the comedy in the Beckett allows the audience to find meaning in the play and somehow had a small hidden happy ending too. Correlation of similarities to everyday life The opening scene of The Tempest is in the midst of a storm. There is the king of Naples trying to find his way to the land while on the other hand is Prospero and his daughter Miranda on shore. The acts show confusion but there is direct explanation and depiction of love. Alonso for instance cries and mourns the death of his son when he gets to the island.

It is a natural reflex that overcomes the people when they find themselves on such a situation. They react by saying that if only they had god powers they would have sunk the ship. The entire act revolves around art and magic while the Endgame does not include any magics. Scholars argue that there has always been correlation in the works of Shakespeare for instance Macbeth and Prosperos. Endgame on the other hand is more a psychological play that gives the audience a new point of view. It illustrates the nature of many. Miranda on one hand wants vengeance for her father while the king and Antonio all want to finish off Prosperos.

Beckett has created a game that many of the audience may not understand. He uses Hamm and Clov as king and knight in the last stage of chase. One is starting their journey while the other has not yet they are both at the ending stages of life. Nagg and Nell to some level have been used as the pawns, black and white and a game of life is introduced to the audience. The ranging voice of her black female persona embodies the need for revenge. She is an African rooted woman in the island of Jamaica. She shows themes of exile like those of Prosperos in the island both in America, and at home. The chaos of her history with the colonial must like those with the king of Naples are quite similar.
