From its humble beginnings, the NGO began with as a collection of people who wanted to help with the incorporation of amazing growth programs but due to its increasing success, it had to be chartered and eventually, other developments had to also be put in place such as the hiring of an executive director. This was necessary as the NGO is a $15 million budget non-profit organization and also, it has a number of employees that work for it such as the 32 social workers and also a support staff of over 90 employees. In addition, the organization has also a clientele base of around 400 clients annually and also six full-time professional employees that include two full-time psychiatrists and four nurses to offer medical and general healthcare advice within the NGO.

As a result of this development in the operations of the company, there was a need to hire an executive director with the role of ensuring that the operations of the company are handled effectively. The first ED who led the organization for 12 years and after that, there was a need to hire an interim ED, who would oversee the organization prior to the finding of a permanent ED. It has been accredited to a number of successful interventions of major companies and as such, its wide knowledge and experience offer a great opportunity to handle the situation within Service for the Lost non-profit organization. As any business that seeks success and positive recommendations, the company ensures that it puts the needs of the client in front of anything else and as a consulting firm, it is hired for its content and strategy expertise. Its services range from helping the organization to even helping manage or rebuild celebrities and gain a better public image. Therefore, in the provision of the services that the non-governmental organization, knowledge, and expertise will be required and this can be achieved through the values and responsibilities of the organization. Objective assessment The next aspect that the company focuses on is the objective assessment which entails the presentation or handling of each client individually and making sure that the task or tasks that they present are handled adequately.

For instance, in the case of Service for the Lost, where the required task is that the consulting firm intervene between the roles that the executive director is performing and align them with the goals and operations of the organization, the main task will be assessing the factors that led to the change in the behavior patterns of the executive director and how they can be improved. In addition, the Board of Directors, who are funding the consultation require that the executive director is intervened in any way possible but in the event that that is not possible, they are ready to hire another ED. Therefore, the consulting firm will follow these guidelines to make sure that it meets the needs and expectations of the client and the objectives as well.

Plan of Action Solution Consulting Company is also guided by a strong plan of action in its endeavors and plans. Involving the senior management The stakeholders that called for the consultation and intervention are the senior management. Therefore, involving them in the solution procedure can also be viewed as a strategic approach as it will involve the gaining of information in regards to the ED and how they may need it handled. As a matter of fact, the senior management can provide all the necessary information that is required to handle the task, which will mean that the consulting firm will not have to interrupt the functioning of the organization to get information to utilize. Using internal assistance The last but not the least approach strategy that the consulting organization may use is the utilization of internal help to approach the issue effectively.

In this case, it is assumed that there will be an HR department that handles the matters of the employees and for that reason, the use of internal help will make work ensure and more effective than coming and setting up equipment to evaluate the organization, this being an external company. In this case, the feedback will be gathered by the use of surveys and observations by the consultant and be applied as an assessment tool. Identification of interventions for change The interventions for change that the action plan will use is the Kurt Lewin’s change management model that comprises of three steps that include unfreezing, change and the refreeze steps. This steps will provide an effective scenario for the assessment of the intervention action plan as it will cover each and every perspective.

To begin with, the first step, which is the unfreeze step will entail the preparation of the organization to accept the changes that will be implemented and present them in a necessary perspective (Burke, 2017). In this case, the main aspect is ensuring that the change process is understood and this will include looking into the problems that are impacting the organization and focusing on possible solutions. In this case, the tasks are aligned to the intervening in the organization to ensure that the behavior of the ED is assessed and changed. Therefore, its timeline will be not more than three days since Solutions Consultation Company has its own professionals that it will include in the handling of the tasks.
