During this period, the immigrants were exempted from being deported to their countries and they were legally authorized to receive relief food and support as well as employment. In a nutshell the DACA program was meant to grant temporary United States citizenship to immigrants and also qualify the immigrants for some relief from United States at the period the permit was valid to be in United States. In order for individuals to qualify for the DACA status, they had to meet the following minimum qualifications; had to be under the age of 31 years before 15 June 2012, had visited United States prior to their 16th birthday, (Wadhia, pp 59), had some history of residing in States continuously since 15 June 2007, they had to be physically available or present at United States at the time of making request to be considered for DACA status, the immigrants had to have had no legal status to be in United states by b15 June 2015; in other words the immigrants who were serving legal permits as at that time did not qualify for DACA status or program, again immigrants had to have been or were schooling in United States; under this requirement, those who were schooling, had graduated as well as having obtained certificate for completion of their high school level education or had certifications for (GED) general education development or had served in the armed forces at U.

S or had served as honorable veterans at coast Guard in United States were considered tool. The last requirement to qualify for DACA status program was that immigrants were required not to have been convicted for more than three times for misdemeanor or even posing any actual or potential risk/ threat to public safety and the United States Government. It is therefore worth noting that despite there being cost implication in terms of money and time to acquire DACA qualifications, the immigrants were looking further than this immediate cost but into the future economic benefits which they would derive from this DACA program, (Barbero, 2014). The individuals who sought for DACA status most probably were those who were faced by access to education and therefore they lacked degrees from high school, as well as being surrounded by some minor legal issues which rendered them unfit to make submission for their applications.

Another point is that these individuals who sought for the is DACA status must have had struggles in securing jobs which would pay them awesomely on permanent basis but rather they only could secure rare cases for lowly paying jobs which could only last for a day or two and for the rest of the season they would remain jobless or unemployed making no meaningful economic progress, (Barbero, 2014). By the virtue of being absorbed for the DACA program, it was a sure deal that the immigrants would no longer struggle with being employed and also working for low incomes. This program paid the employed immigrants $8 against each $1 incurred on DACA process of application. In a nutshell, the DACA status acted as stepping stone for immigrants into millions of opportunities which they could not get access to if they had not secured such opportunities with United States.

For the seasonally employed workers; farm workers would perfectly serve as fill INS the moment their seasonal jobs terminated definitely. Ultimately, exposure for immigrants to DACA program was a real blessing which also subjected the immigrants to handsome fringe benefits coupled with privileges for enrollment in training programs with a bias on employment in order to scale greater heights in labor market. In summary, as mentioned earlier, the economic benefits of securing DACA status was that recipients were entitled to employment trainings funded by the federal government as well as a guarantee of safety and legal promotions which would come with better pay and additional benefits all in the long run, (Rector, et al, 2013). Economic Costs Associated with DACA status The costs incurred in the acquisition of DACA program authentication was not only limited to the application fee but it also extended to the entire process of sustaining the immigrants in this program.

In addition U. S benefited from greased wheels in the labor market as a result of immigrants flowing to different industries and areas experiencing relative need for labor. This results into accelerated economic growth, (Rector, et al, 2013). The only major downside of immigrants is lowered wages for competing staff or workers at the same time increasing return to capital as well as wages directed to complimentary workers.
