Opened in 2010 it was touted as the world’s most expensive property being valued at$8 billion inclusive of the land cost. With the advancement of technology, the business operation has rapidly changed. From the traditional walk in and book the hotel industry has experienced a paradigm shift in the operations. One simply logs onto the hotel's website makes a reservation from any location globally and makes the payment online. The core concern area within the premise of the hotel is usually the check-in and checkouts. The system intends to service both onsite and offsite clients. The client will view the room, select one that suits them and have a visual representation of the room to be booked. The customer details will be kept secure and safe from intrusion, theft, and hacking.

The proposed information system will be convenient for the clients but also for the management to catapult their sales and manage the resort. The supervisors, managers and departmental heads will all have the required information on demand or upon request. A customer cannot get to use a product or service without having to purchase it. To give the customers a feel and sense of belonging hotels is changing base on their operations. From having customised sites for the clients to very detailed information, that the previous system ignored the new system has it built in such a way that it all the customer needs are captured. Time is a key element of any project. The success of a project is determined largely by the time it takes to deliver. When the system is delivered in time there is no downtime cost thus the gains are felt immediately. According to Stair and Reynolds (2013), the delays caused by the system affect the general performance of the system creating a backlog. The system must be designed and implemented within the agreed time.

This is in order to capture the specific needs of the customer without leaving anyone’s needs unattended to. Conceptualization and customization of the rooms all at an affordable price and rate has also led to the need to create a new one. From traditional computers to modern handheld devices the system has to handle all the requests thrown to it from various devices. The project can be done by the integration of the current and futuristic needs in anticipation of the emerging technologies. Second, every solution has to be analyzed carefully, information gathered and processed as well as adding to the criteria befitting the solution being developed. If the system does not support a payment method, then it shall not appear listed.
