Common myths depicts that privacy is important only to the people who are insecure for their illegal acts and therefore need to hide but most people usually have nothing to hide but still have a connection to individual privacy. Privacy matters because everyone has the right to lead a life of their own apart from the public life. People with no privacy right lead a vulnerable life susceptible to intrusion by government, corporation and any other person who have ill-intensions. As a result, I am obliged to agree that everyone should have privacy right. Therefore I argue that living a private life is absolutely different from being secretive and privacy is very crucial. For instance, if by bad luck you are raped, would you be comfortable if your details are dredged on a newspaper? Obviously not.

In this regard I am inclined to agree that private right matters and it is important to avoid giving unlimited access into your life. Secondly, privacy right matters a lot because it prevent limit on power. If an individual, government or private sector gets to know more about someone, they are likely to get over them. In making important decisions, personal data becomes very crucial since it can easily influence decision making, alter our behaviors and finally affect our reputation. This ability is nurture by maintaining privacy. It gives one the energy to go above the past mistakes without being shackled by the past blunders. Privacy therefore protects the human dignity and therefore forms the platform on which other human rights are formed.

Privacy allows people to create boundaries that protect them from unwarranted interferences and gives individual the ability to dictate how they interact with the public (Weng et al. It is a wise idea to agree that privacy helps to maintain appropriate social boundaries which comprises of physical and information boundaries. This destroys the nature of human interaction. In regard to matters of trust, it is necessary to uphold that privacy is very crucial for human survival. Privacy allows individuals to alter their behavior accordingly in order to control and maintain various interpersonal relationships (Rachels, 2017). As Marmor (2015) suggests, Privacy is an important tool for allowing time and space for self-evaluation. At times people needs quiet time with themselves to reviews and meditate on how life is fairing.

In order effectively keep up with healthy business competition, one need to keep the business information as private as possible. Corporate data is an important asset to be safeguarded to prevent loss of valuable information including fines, lost sales or monetary judgments. Loss of privacy in business can easily lead to loss of customers due to lack of confidence with your systems thus losing to competitors. Finally from the above argument it can be seen that there are so many reasons as to support privacy rights.
