Envisioning the Sustainable City

Moreover, most of the time we ate locally sourced foods and drinks since the area had vast areas where foods were grown locally. Additionally, the area satisfied my passion for nature since it is surrounded by trees, rivers, mountains, and lakes thus giving me the chance to have ideal outdoor experiences. On daily basis, I mostly interacted with my younger sister when she was not at school and parents especially in the evenings when they were not at work. Aside from my parents and my sister, I spent most of my holidays with my best friend who was also our neighbor. There were few people living in the areas, so I did not interact with a large number of people unless at school.

From one home or house to another, there is a distance of around 100 meters, which helps in ensuring privacy of each homestead while ensuring that each person living in the areas has ample space in their homestead. Additionally, there are banks, government offices, non-governmental establishments, and industries around the neighborhood, thus providing workplaces near the home. While going to buy grocery, some people living around the neighborhood decides to go by foot when they are not going to buy a large number of grocery. However, in some cases, especially when people are intending to buy large quantities of grocery, they usually move using their cars. Moreover, children usually ride bicycles around the neighborhood as a hobby since there are trees planted around the homes to provide shade and beautification purposes.

Aside from the trees planted in a line around the residential areas, there are large trees as well as lush landscapes that provide shades to different home especially during summer. The trees also provides a quite serenity around the areas and also ensuring that the air around the houses is cool. The trees include canopies that seem to have been planted in the area for many years. Other than trees, the areas that are surrounding the house bordering the paths are covered with grass. Any areas around the houses that is not set aside for people to walk around is covered by even grass. Sustainability theory The unique place affects my vision of the future and the way to live my life since it relates to my finances, the environment, and social life.

Firstly, the ideal place affects my vision of the future since it influences me on how I view wastage of resources. I believe that an ideal home should not built on the expense of the natural landscape. My vision of the future is engraved on the idea that suitable homes require to be built on areas that do not disfavor the natural environment. Moreover, waste such as water and release of carbon dioxide in the air is part of the issues that I think should be changed with the aim of achieving the unique place. The human values helps in deriving the facts to ensure a sustainable future but the facts cannot be used to derive the human value. Therefore, facts are different from values but one cannot separate facts from human values.
