Around 1,800 Chinese are found in an area of a square kilometre and this proofs that the city is overpopulated to the extent that there will be no space for the future. This overpopulation in the city is caused by immigration of people from other areas. The city is also facing a challenge of pollution which is as a result of industrialization. Wastes from these companies and industries cause serious pollution issues which eventually yield lethal effects to the environment resulting in the death of other organism both marine life and terrestrial. It also leads to the increasing acidity of the marine aquatic system making it difficult for most aquatic marine lives to survive or adapt to the changing environmental climate. Pollution results in the death of the aquatic organism. The people in this country use some marine creatures like fish for food and this puts the life of the consumer in a great danger of being diagnosed with cancer or other serious which are as a result of pollution like asthma and allergy (Wang et al. This pollution has resulted in high rates of cancer since the water has been polluted by materials which are carcinogenic like cadmium. For example, in 2013, the rice sold in Guangzhou city, 44% of the rice contained cadmium, which is a carcinogenic material (Lee, 2014).

In the case of Japan, pollution is a core problem too. Although unlike China, Japan’s population is small. Although this is the case, Japan itself can be said to be overpopulated since only 18% of its land is considered suitable for settlement. Although this is the case, the Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Agency has argued that Japan should put more measure in a bid to cut down on waste material (Laohalidanond, Chaiyawong& Kerdsuwan, 2015). Tokyo is the biggest city in the world as mentioned earlier in the introduction part. Due to this, the city is faced with the huge problem that faces overpopulated cities in the world. Air pollution is a huge problem considering that Tokyo is also one of the biggest industrial megacities in the world.

According to a report by business, blogs show that Tokyo has more than 10,000 operational manufacturing companies. Japans problems after the nuclear disaster Japan has faced the worst nuclear disasters in the world. When one thinks of Japan, one has to reflect on the historical disaster of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. On 11th March 2011, the cooling of nuclear reactors was affected. As a result, a nuclear accident occurred melting three cores in three days. In August 2013, another nuclear accident took place although it wasn’t huge like the former. This accident caused a lot of pollution in the environment. The government had to remove 3. 5 Billion gallons of soil which had already been exposed to nuclear waste. This soil had to be scraped off the surface and stored away from people to avoid exposure to radioactive materials.
