High Park remains the location for the reflection, and the experience gathered from the place is worth sharing. The park contains many features under the management of the municipal councils. The park lies on 161 hectares piece of land. That is enough to accommodate not only the natural park but also other recreational activities. Some of the facilities present in the region include the zoo, educational facilities as well as sporting facilities among others. The Grenadier pond which exists to the east formed the epicenter of the tour. The lake has a variety of features which made the entire course worth. For instance, the habitat provides a conducive environment which makes it possible for such creatures to thrive. I came to learn that most people associate the Pond with the existing waterfowl habitat. The northern end of the Pond also provided a great view. It had the cattail marsh which makes Mallards thrive in the region. Initially, the honking sound of the birds was frightening.

However, I got used to the sound after taking my time within the park. I was attentive and watched their feeding habit for a better period as well. Vegetation remains their source of food. They prefer short grasses and spend most of their time mating. At first, I was not aware of such a distinction. I had to take my time and learn the difference. After that, it was possible to draw the difference at any given point. In fact, I helped others as well in making the distinction. Ducks are known for the sound “quack. However, after the visit, it stands out that everything is possible. It just needs a little bit of dedication to get most things done. In fact, nature has a lot to present and connect with.

An individual should identify what works best at any given point in time. That will limit any form of disappointment that might arise in the process. In fact, it is prudent to contain some species in particular regions to avoid complicating their lives. Some of these species can significantly interfere with others as well as the general sanity of the environment. As a consequence, it is prudent to have corrective measures which ensure growth. The population of fish in the pond have reduced drastically. From the observation, it is apparent that the poor quality of water in the pond is the reason for the decrease in fish population. However, it was apparent that such an activity is not allowed in the pond.

Having the right disposal of the fishing line is helpful to protect the wildlife. Certain fish species remained evident during the entire visit. Some of them included the white perch as well as Goldfish among other species. Canada is considered wealthy I wildlife, and the pond proved the case. I could see a large number of waterfowl resting. The open space provided a better view. Moreover, it is apparent that the waterfowl manage to enjoy the shade, breeze and get the necessary food content. After conducting an elaborate evaluation, it was evident that most of the birds on the shore were Canada Geese as well as Mallards. Watching the ducks swim along the shoreline was also an exciting encounter which stimulated the adrenaline.

That is the same reason why I managed to lure turtles at the time. It was never intentional, and the outcome was indeed discouraging. In my entire life, I have never used the shrimps to lure the catch. That was possible during the visit and made it extraordinary in a way. I didn’t like the situation at the pond at the given moment. That alone is enough to make the location one of the best in the region. In fact, individuals are likely to travel from far to access such species. After having an extensive exploration of critical features in the park, it is apparent that the Grenadier pond suffers from the consequences related to policymaking. The environment itself is sensitive making it necessary to have the most effective corrective measures to foster growth.
