Some of the ethical issues in healthcare breach include the following aspects: Information disclosure Most patients are always taken to the hospitals by their families who still demand to know about their loved ones and information regarding their treatment. Ethically, it is right, but in another concept, it is a form of data breach. The information about the patients should always remain disclosed to specific stakeholders such as the patient and the therapists themselves. This informed concept is always given to the doctors by the patients who allow them to perform different activities after proper consultations. A patient might need grand permission to provide their information to their family member because many they might want their families to be aware of their current situations.

Doctors therefore always obey the informed consent which is ever put in a written document and signed by both parties as a form of agreement. The patient permission can contribute to significant data breach because it will no longer be a secret about their health conditions. Granting of the informed consent which is also an ethical practice in a healthcare organization can easily contribute to a healthcare data breach as the patient information will not be secure after it reaches the hands of other people. People who are responsible for the handling of the healthcare information of patient should still provide high security to the patient records and ensure that there are no breaches at all. Breaches can be prevented by any means such as proper handling of the healthcare data and usage of computers.

Mismanagement of computers Computers in a healthcare organization act as significant assets in the organization and everyone should be able to understand their purpose in the organization. The employees in the organization should, therefore, take responsibilities of handling the computers very well and prevent their loss. Mismanaging of the computers have contributed to the loss of some critical parts such as the hard drives which are used to store essential data in the organization.
