Individual and an Ideal Society

However, such promises are never achieved as they often end up as wishful thinking that cannot be realized in reality. I believe that there is a continuous struggle to live in an ideal society. An ideal society should ensure equal treatment for every human being. It requires availability of justice, social peace and individual liberty. Given that civilization has not enabled the word to realize perfection, one wonders whether the world has followed the right foundation towards perfection. Many people, including myself, believed that he was going to improve the American economy and make the society as ideal as possible. Despite the drama that is making him appear not as an ideal President, he still has to prove that he was not a regular politician by delivering on his promises.

We now witness a lot of rebellion coming especially from Democrats that are promising better life and social justice if a Democrat will ascend to power in 2020. However, there have been many Democrat presidents before and none has come close to delivering an ideal society. in other parts of the world, nations that are constantly at war are experiencing an extreme version of what is taking place in the United States. The cost of living in the affected countries has risen considerably. Lack of peace and security also indicates that achieving the intended ideal society remains in limbo. Many aspects of the society can change if we can manage to get the leadership and the institutions that govern the country to operate as promoters of that kind of society.

This is why I consider leadership to be such a crucial factor in the achievement of an ideal society. Achievement of an ideal society is dependent on equal treatment and social justice. For instance, I believe people have different interpretation of the second amendment especially with regards to gun ownership. For this reason, I think justice in one country may be injustice in another country. This is because people in power tend to frame laws that favor them, making it hard for justice to occur to all people in that country or society (Moore 200). Economically and politically empowered people receive justice due to a system that favors them while the poor and powerless do not get justice as required (Reiman and Paul 118).

If everyone was treated equally and accorded justice, then there would still emerge issues of integration into the society. Peace in society can happen if there is love, non-violence, and altruism (Reiman and Leighton 45). Negative traits like greed, jealousy, and selfishness should be pushed a side. These traits will strengthen the peace that people wish for, making it a reality. Moreover, freedom should be a fundamental human right that all individuals should enjoy. The availability of liberty enables individuals to be creative and realize their full potential. Although the campaigns were quite decisive, the American people have started to embrace inclusivity in order to fight a common enemy. Through such realizations, hopefully, the world will develop into one ideal society. Creating an ideal society is the dream of most people, but achieving it tends to be difficult due to the nature of humankind.

The diversity of humankind and individual characteristics often make it hard for any society to achieve an ideal society.
