As a father, I completely wanted to dive in and ask Kim for the favor but I completely understood that Kim had his own reasons why he never wanted Janet to have the van. After Janet had settled for the public transport, Kim later explained to me that I was being soft to her that every time she wanted something like a van or a new phone, I could give it to her. His point was that Janet was now grown up and needed to start handling her own business as well as learn how to control her emotions and moods whenever she had a bad day.

After the game, to congratulate, I took asked Janet to request for anything that she wanted and give a reason to why she wanted it. To my amazement, she requested support. I expected her to request for another newest gadget in the market such the new iPhone X that was just released the other day and every student is going for it, or a car that she always need but she can’t realize it. Her argument was that since she loved me and she always counted me, she wanted to be sure that I had her back in case of anything. At first I could not comprehend her request but after she had explained, I realized that it all revolved on what had happened in the morning about the van.
