Politics is the heart of modern societal developments. All the social happenings, the policy-making process and also the electioneering period is all directly related to the political situations within a given country. The development of political scenarios in any particular setting is bound by various factors. One of the key determining factors in the development and the success of various political situations within the country or within any setting is the mass media. Mass media has continued to greatly influence the key operations and activities in the present world. Mass media is one of the concepts that control how society functions. The present-day evolution in mass media has created one of the richest forms of sharing information. Mass media is one of the concepts that is primarily applied in the world as a form of communication to inform and to educate.

In this case, politics has thrived a lot with the developments in the mass media platforms across the world (Hartley 84) The application of the same concept provides one of them ,or effective way of teaching the public on various political ideologies, sharing ideas and also creating a political revolution. Many of the countries that have witnessed a revolution in the recent past were much developed and promoted by the development of the mass media platforms. Mass media is being used today to spread propaganda and change the people’s opinion on the current political events. For instance, the oar general elections in the United States where Donald Trump won, there was constant disgruntle from the Donald Trump’s sites on the role of media in portraying Trump as a villain.

In fact, many media sites during this time predicted that Hillary Clinton was going to win by far. Donald Trump, through his Twitter account, used to extensively attack the media as being a source of propaganda and unverified information. In as much the mass media is used to spread and recreate policies of the other parties in the general elections, it is worth noting that the same can take an impact on the electorate or not (Alccott & Matthew 230). Mass media also influences how the people, vote and the transfer of ideologies in the political movements and also the entire political scenarios and events within a given country (Neubaum et al. Mass media is also the basis of creating political awareness in any given country.

Political activists have applied the media platforms to create reprisals or opposition against any development within a given country. Mass media is the basis of developing the exit understanding and the best overview of dealing with the many issues that affect the normalcy of life of the people. Various key political leaders and persons across the world have used the media to create awareness on the basic rights of the people and to create a voting bloc and a voting pattern and also voting exercise towards a given direction (Katz et al. Some key politicians have used mass media to solicit for funds from the public to run and develop their campaigns. Barack Obama raised hundreds of millions online over the course of his presidential run, and in just the last two weeks of the senatorial race in Massachusetts, Scott Brown raised $12 million from 157,000 donors.

This shows how effective the mass media is in consolidating for financial support and donations in running the political campaign Conclusion Mass media plays an integral part in the development and the success of political ideas across the world. It is one of the major factors that has been noted to be very efficient in the development of political ideologies, views, and other identity issues that are inherent in the political arenas.
