Employment opportunities, increase in quality production and welfare, innovation and technology, are some of the benefits created. Despite the positive development, advertisement also has some negative impacts. The high cost of advertising raises the prices of the products in order to meet expenditure. Wrong presentation misleads the buyers interested in a commodity. Cases of mis-presentation leads to losing trust in advertising. It has 21 billion dollar brands of which 19, are of low sugar content to enable people to balance intake of added sugar (Elmore). The Coca Cola Company use different methods of advertising. An example is use of demonstrative pictures of attractive cool ladies from roadside bill boards and on magazine cover pages. In a program called Vivian “The Coca Cola Girl” which ended up in drawing Americans attention and high praise.
The Buddy lee doll is another advertisement element in this video. Research around the word has shown concern on beverages and foods people consume. Cases of obesity and health problems raise most concerns. People should feed on natural ingredients and drink nutritional beverages which benefits the body. The world health organisation states that too much sugar is harmful to the body. Hence the company’s long strategies of reshaping the industry and producing drinks with little or no sugar. The advertisement video shows how the company will reduce calories and sugar in coke, offering a new drink that offer hydration and nutritional benefits to the body ("Ad Meter 2017: Coca-Cola"). The video provides a well detailed and clear information on calories to help people make better and informed decisions without guessing. People will thus continue enjoying the great Coco Cola taste without worrying about health risks.
According to the advertisement, the global marketing strategy shows the Companies willingness to offer Coca Cola for all lifestyles and tastes. In this video we see a number of innovations that the Company has come up with in promoting Growth. This video shows strategically methods put in place to enable their farm supplies meet certain requirements. Foe instance, availability of necessary agricultural resources, environmental protection, work place rights and responsible farming management. This strategy promotes celebrating and supporting people in the agricultural industry. The project also shows how agriculture impacts on other areas. Research shows that agriculture is responsible for 20-25 percent of climatic changes. An Acacia Creations production by Coca Cola has helped bring together artisans from over six countries with a global marketing place to sell their home décor, Jewry and designs.
In the year 2016, journalists travelled to South Africa with the Coca Cola Company and UN women to see how advice from a 5by20 campaign was bringing improvement to women business in their overall life (Roth and Kimani). In a world faced with social and environmental challenges, integrating programs such as those of empowering women and improving water supply in marginalised areas, play a big role in suitanabilty connection. The video shows the link between women, water and agriculture (Hammad). Agriculture is large part of water strategy. The advertisement was aimed at creating awareness and a new understanding on what the Coca Cola Company is about and how much it cares about the local communities. In this video advertisement we learn about packaging and recycling methods used by the Coca Cola Company.
Packaging is important for protection and delivery of all beverages to ensure safety for consumption. The Coca Cola Company package its drinks in plastic bottles, glass bottles and metallic cans. Plastic bottles pose great environmental risks because they are non degradable. National Toxic program found clear evidence of 4-mel in sodas. mel is linked to lung cancer, dysfunction of thyroid and infertility.
