Intergenerational communities Intergenerational community is where the welfare of individuals of all ages is cared for by the community. The community promotes interactions and cooperation between people of all generations. In most intergenerational communities, the community focuses more on the interests of the children and older adults. The interests can be implemented and realized through the affirmative action. Children and older people of the community are regarded as vulnerable members of the community thus require special attention and treatment. When conditions are favorable, people will automatically have positive emotions. Positive emotions entail joy and excitement feelings about what is happening in one’s life. Positive institutions surround the community and people rely on them to get crucial services. They include family, friends, works, community, society, religion, school, and health facilities. Other positive institutions include justice system, political structure, and communication strategies (Steve, 2016). These factors define quality of life as well as community wellbeing. Although positive institutions do not constitute basic needs, they play important roles in defining the purpose of life. This neighborhood offers everything that a person may need.
