Since then, people from different parts of the world have turned to the United States in masse, renouncing their own country in search of a better quality of life, opportunities, fleeing from wars, among other circumstances. Sadly, many of these immigrants have different immigration status that could lead to deportation. Brabeck Kalima M. Lykes M. Brinton and Hunter Cristina in their article "The Psychosocial Impact of Detention and Deportation on Migrant Children and Families in the United States" shows documented research of recent years, which reflects the effects and consequences generated by fear of deportation. In addition to that, they do not allow to make phone calls to notify their detention. These processes generate a state of anguish, stress and panic in children that have often reflected unusual behaviors. “According to Julia, the raid and resulting separation precipitated her son’s tantrums and nightmares; difficulty sleeping, eating, and speaking; and extreme separation anxiety” (Brabeck, Lykes and Hunter 496).

These being one of the many effects that separating a child from his parents can cause. For many of these cases, the issue of deportation of unauthorized immigrants has brought many controversies between the state and many other institutions that work for human rights. Dreby, Joanna 839). In other words, all these emotional burdens created by the fear of losing an unauthorized relative produce instability and psychological problems. On the other hand, in the article “Provider's Perspectives on the Impact of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Activity on Immigrant Health” (Hacker et al) the author states that “Deportation fear has also been associated with poorer self-perceived health and activity limitation following ICE raids13,18 and with emotional distress for both documented and undocumented immigrants” (Hacker et al 652) The issue of deportation has generated so much controversy and has affected so many families that sometimes many immigrants authorized to settle in the country feel the same fear of being punished by law for any cause or error.

Also, this article has documented a group of children who were affected by this issue “I have a toddler [a patient] whose father was in jail for immigration and the patient was living with friends of the father. During this period of time, the toddler missed well-child checks and now has speech delay” (Hacker et al xxx). deportation policy on human health. Children who lose their parents to deportation are at increased risk for behavioral, mental, and physical health problems. ”(Morris) it is the studies carried out show how the number of affected immigrants has increased considerably. without taking into account, that there are many not registered cases because a lot of these do not seek medical help being afraid to be reported to immigration. Moreover, it is important to stick out that many children grow up in the country with unauthorized migratory status, this causes them to live in a repressed way since they can not take part into many professional growth activities (due to their immigration status) as illustrated in the article “Undocumented Dreamers in College Welcome Policy Change on Immigration” (Love, Julia) as illustrated “…… His scholarship reveals that "learning to be illegal" takes a significant toll--dozens of the undocumented youth he has interviewed grapple with chronic headaches, ulcers, sleeping problems, and difficulty getting out of bed” (Love).

There is evidence that the health of many children in Sweden has been affected due to the fear of being deported, especially the case of Georgi who was a Russian refugee child that had earned the love of all the school and its community. “In December 2015, the Migration Board rejected their final appeal, and, in a letter, told the family, “You must leave Sweden. ” Their deportation to Russia was scheduled for April” (Aviv). This notification of order of deportation generated emotional shock in George that caused a disease that until now has only been manifested to refugees in Sweden. “Georgi was given a diagnosis of uppgivenhets syndrome, or resignation syndrome, an illness that is said to exist only in Sweden, and only among refugees. The cost of the items in the store amazes the children since the toys on sale are extremely costly.

The purpose of the trip is to show the children how an unequitable system builds unjust allocation of resources for African American citizens. The system is bias in distribution of economic resources and social interactions. The children are however not appreciative of the tour. at the end of the narration the children decide to spend what remains in their cab fare cash. Individual family members then participate in the ritual until one of them receives a slip with the black spot. Tessie received the marked slip meaning that he has been selected. At the end of the story, we see Tessie being stoned to death by the town residents. The story shows the effects of mob mentality. The story brings the need to consider other societies and their practices and beliefs as we also consider our own communities (Jackson).

This story shows how immigrants move from their countries into America in search for better lives but end up losing hope and becoming very miserable. Oppression of African Americans is shown in the short story by Alice walker, ‘everyday use’ (Walker). The story revolves around a family of three, a mother and her two daughters. The elder daughter, is highly educated and tries to embrace her culture by changing her name and marrying a Muslim man. The younger daughter is uneducated and prefers to live a simple life with her mother. So, how does deportation affect the health of the children of unauthorized immigrants in the United States? According to the studies documented by each of the source shown, the issue of deportation has a negative effect on all those unauthorized immigrants.

However, children are more vulnerable and reflect the fear of being separated from their parents or their comfort zone through psychological problems (inappropriate behaviors, nightmares, lack of appetite, language difficulties, and sadness, among others) and diseases (asthma, motor ability, anxiety, syndromes, among others). In conclusion, we could say that United States and other countries around the world should work hard on the issue of migration and try to take the best measures to solve the problem of unauthorized immigrants and thus avoid further increasing of the rate of children affected both psychologically and physically by living a repressed life with fears. As shown in the article "The Psychosocial Impact of Detention and Deportation on Migrant Children and Families in the United States" This is a great challenge for the United States, and it is a difficult to find a solution because there are many factors that make many immigrants prefer to live in this condition before being in their own country due to the problem of poverty, social, political problems, economic, religious, among others.
