Large organizations often outsource some of their services to other companies to minimize cost and also to save resources. The diversity of the current market environment requires strategic management in regard to organization learning. Organizational learning is defined as an academic point of view where a company has a continuous learning process within the organization and with other companies based on the shifting global environment. This concept is more of a purpose and a culture that should be adopted by any company that wants to gain a strong competitive position. The term is also similar to a learning organization. One of the recognized scholars in terms of contemporary knowledge management is Michael Polanyi (1970). He stated that “we know more than we can express”.

In this sense, it is clear that every individual possess some form of knowledge. Alavi and Leidner (2001) explained knowledge as a state of mind where one gains the skills of knowing and reasoning from experience and education or both. Since the 1970s, research has been conducted on knowledge management and how this topic of study can be included in the corporate sector. These actions appear simple but it is imperative that every organization should have measures and other procedures when it comes to understanding the current market environment and the strategies that can ensure the company survives these possibilities. About the Organization Hanesbrands Inc. is a clothing manufacturing company based in North Carolina. The company has about 37 subsidiaries distributed across the globe.

In the US, there are 21 subsidiaries while the remaining 16 are located in different foreign countries. is to carry out all activities which will promote the entire organization towards its ultimate vision through motivating its employees (Hanesbrands Inc. The objectives are to stimulate a spirit of teamwork and job satisfaction so that productivity increases and problem-solving skills are enhanced. The solutions center will seamlessly integrate the vision of the HR and will increase the chances of meeting the set objectives. Strategic Framework The strategic framework at Hanesbrands, precisely in contemporary management is highly coordinated. The entire organization, despite its vast size, operates fluidly like a single unit. The organization uses the business partner model and the service center is outsourced. Although this model has numerous issues, the system has been able to sustain the company for several years due to its performance in the stock market.

However, it has recently received a significant drop in its share prices signifying that the current organizational model is no longer viable. The figure below shows the stock prices of the shares of Hanesbrands Inc. The entire organization prides itself in regard to its corporate and social responsibility. Thus, the inclusion of the solutions center model would relieve the HR department from these duties and ensure that the focus of all the departments in the company is on the product end and the customer sector (Storey, 2014). Performance and Marketing Strategies The organizational culture for Hanes is motivated towards the production of excellent clothing items for their consumers. Each person that works for the company within the United States of America or overseas must comply with the basic business policies of the company.

Hanes prides itself as a company that treats its employees fairly according to the regulations of the Fair Labor Association (FLA) which Hanes joined in 2008 (Ruvo, 2013). These policies are communicated and implemented to international branches, especially Brazil. The service level agreement will rate the performance of the HR more effectively. This measurement will be determined by the time it takes the department to accomplish a specific service. Improvement in the SLA will indicate that the HR has become more productive. The results will be evident once clients and customers become more satisfied. Management at Hanesbrands The importance of the organization’s mission and vision to a staff-level employee is that it makes the employee’s work to have some meaning. This strategy will motivate the staff and they will be more appreciative and loyal to the organization.

Thus, the employees will easily adopt the organization’s principles. Competitive Position of Hanesbrands The entire organization prides itself in regard to its corporate and social responsibility. This skill has helped this organization to overcome most of the challenges which face companies in the current market environment. Goals are the targets an organization sets to achieve based on its mission and vision. Goals are usually given specific time limits. Organizational learning must apply goals so that the organization can have measurable outcomes. Results are the outcomes of actions or policies that an organization adopted or implemented. Communication is another challenge since the new protocols may be established but it takes longer for the staff to adjust. The work culture in the organization is a challenge for setting goals in risk management plans. The set goals may first require a transformation of the employees culture before it can be met.
