The Effects of Technology on Interpersonal Communication

Purpose of the research: Communication technology has led to change of trends in human communication processes. The channels available to exchange information have significantly increased but essential aspects of communication such as face-to-face have been done away with due to the high level of convenience associated with other platforms such as mobile phones. With a smartphone, one is able to send e-mails, make calls and share videos and photos (Elsobeihi & Abu Naser, 2017). The purpose of this research, therefore, is to examine the impact that the use of mobile technology has on the ability of individuals to use the traditional face-to-face mode of communication. Reason/ Rationale for choosing this topic: In the recent past, the number mobile phone owners has tremendously skyrocketed.
