A good example of the way revolution has transformed the life is portrayed in "The Great Gatsby", a novel written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The novel primarily concerns the "young millionaire, Jay Gatsby and his obsession for the former debutante Daisy Buchanan" (Batchelor 12). These are one of the characters living in the town of West-East Egg. The novel acts as a historical milieu that vividly describes the transition of the living style of the traditional American society to the modern structure of life. In relation to the modern life of Americans, it is true to say that the novel plays a role in explaining the Americans modern life. The Americans have been depicted to be more skilled according to the methods and tools they used during the revolution period (Beuka 24).

The popularity of the novel to many readers was as a result of the skills of the Americans. This is artistically true because the Americans used their high level of skills in the revolution. Their high level of skills accelerated the revolution process. This influence is culturally significant because the novel shows how the youth misuse their bodies in evil behaviors such as sex and drinking which was against the cultural norms of the society. The recognition of the novel on the revolution of the Americans traditional life to the modern is unquestionable. The revolution of the American life from traditional to the modern is quite different from the other nations. Its revolution started earlier than any other nation and it used the technology that was not common to any other nation.

The Americans were the first to have a T-shaped vehicle which later was modified into the current modern designs (O'Meara 25). There was an increased misuse of their bodies for pleasure and they had their hair dyed too. In this way, the novel particularly represents the attitude of the individuals especially those from the rich families who lived in the cities (O'Meara 33). By then, cities were the main centers for evils and crimes and that's why they were referred to as the place for immorality, degradation, and foreign influence. In the novel, it is true to say that there is the sense of loss to our youth and the next generation. This aesthetic is culturally significant because it shows the behavior change of the youths.

This is the life the Americans admired (Beuka 131). There was also the symbolism of the valley of ashes. It represented a nation full of obsession with money and wealth. These are the people living in the city. They lived a more comfortable life full of wealth and pleasure. This is culturally not accepted. It brings separation between the poor and the rich. The fashion in the novel is a reflection of economic, social, political, and cultural changes. The traditional way of dressing is much far different from the modern style. There was an influence of modern way of dressings especially by the way of music enjoyment where the dancers were performing naked. The novel also touches on the technological advancement that brought the introduction of automobiles.

The modern life was as a result of the technological advancement. The technology had some effects on the society. According to Batchelor, it resulted in the growth of the nation and many goods and services were introduced (131). The automation background knowledge of the Americans brought the introduction of credit cards, washing machines, vacuum cleaner, hairdryer, and the frozen foods. The government should not allow any illegal businesses in the country, because they are the sources of some cultural immorality in the country as they may lead to behaviors of the future generations to worsen. The differences in technological skills or the level of wealth should not be used to cause enmity between groups of people. Generally, the author has portrayed the novel as culturally significant to the America's modern way of life and the modern life at large.
