This study focuses on revealing terrorism to mean any threat or act of violence aimed at instilling fear beyond the immediate and affected populations and with the aim of achieving political objectives. Such a broad definition of definition define terrorist activities to include different forms of criminal activities such as organized crime conducted with the purpose of instilling fear beyond the target group. This study focuses on revealing the violence propagated by white supremacists as the most sustained form of terror in the United States. A close look at Donald Trump speech during the electioneering period as well as his treatment of the minorities reveals that he is a staunch white supremacist because of his constant rhetoric that tends to attack the minority especially those from the Muslim world. Trump garnered massive support from the white’s electorate due to his tendency to show openness by regarding the real enemies as the radical Islamic extremists.

He also participates in the redistribution of material from the twitter accounts of fellow neo-Nazis leaders, and he engages in the creation and sustenance of white supremacy on the online platforms (Ascher 6). Importantly, white supremacist drives the terrorist activities that occur at different levels ranging from the crime incidents and threats propagated by the individuals who ascribe to the dominant racial group against those of the minority ethnic group. As a result, trump’s tendency to threaten Muslims is in its right evidence of his terrorist character. Trump tendency to make counterterrorism missions to focus on the Islam radicalization solely shows evidence that he is white supremacist sympathizers. Sources reveal Trump’s attempt to change the general approach of countering extremism with the aim of ensuring the desired momentum in dealing solely with Islamic terrorism.

In 2016, a white ultranationalist shot at fifty congregants in a local mosque, an event that contributed to the killing of six people and the injury of nineteen other people (Mother Jones). Alexander, the extremist, involved in the attack proved to a sympathizer with Trump’s earlier statements that were mostly anti-Muslim. Vitally, Trump remained silent about the matter. Records show that Trump has supported the right-wing extremists even before his election. In 2016, three right-wing terrorists referring to themselves as crusaders moved ahead to compile a manifesto was in line with the fundamental right-wing political points some of them condemning the perceived overreach of the Obama administration and the weak border security. In 2017 alone, there was the Portland, Oregon incidence where an antimuslim terrorist attacked two teenage girls. Also, there was the College Park incidence where a white and racist student killed a fellow student.

A similar trend of white extremism has been evidenced in 2018 and particularly the Orange County , California incidence in the month of January where a 20 year old white student stabbed a fellow Jewish student, a crime that was praised by the neo-Nazist members who claimed that they are going to support copycat crimes. A close look at the history of the United States and the current Trump administration reveals that domestic terror is connected to political motives.
