The ETHOS of the agency which can be defined as the shared identity, aspirations and beliefs include being the guardians of the Nation’s border, safeguarding the homeland of America and even beyond the borders that are visible, it protects Americans against the other instruments of terror and terrorists, the agency also strongly enforces the laid down laws that are present in the United States while at the same time fostering the economic security of the nation through lawful international travel and trade, serving the people of America with integrity, vigilance,and professionalism.

The CORE VALUES of the agency include vigilance which is how the agency ensures the calmness of all the people. The agency is every now and then alert and watchful to ensure that it is in a position to prevent the threats that the nation is facing or about to face.
