Voice of the Youths in Cinema

The function of film in the society has developed to be a ubiquitous art. Film and cinema have a distinct and powerful ubiquity in the human culture. The convergent state of cinema creates consumers across a variety of channels (O’Francia, 2014). Most of the issues displayed in cinema are an accurate reflection of the society, as such both men and women play a crucial role in cinema. In the recent past, the voices of both men and women have been prevalent in the cinemas. Due to the domination men have enjoyed a fair chance to voice their concerns about the society. The rise of feminism came in to solve this gender disparity in the film sector. Now women have an opportunity to showcase their interests through film, this because most of them have been able to get into film production and direction units that were exclusively for men in the earlier years.

The youth comprise the number one consumers of the film industries. Most of the producers today create movies directly targeted for the young people. Majority of the youths desire to live a celebrity lifestyle, and thus fame is their driving force. Acting careers are some of the well-paying jobs and to make it even better it comes with fame and popularity, this has caused more youths to choose film as a way to express their talents and creativity as compared to other means. In this era of technological development and innovation different forms of electronics have been developed. This offered a more natural way for people to communicate and express without necessarily talking (Schwelling, 2014). Most of the young people build a passion for film and photography at a very tender age.

The music industry is controlled mainly by young people thus it creates a more natural way for youths to join the film industry. Given that the concept is the same then musicians get an easier way to fit into the film and cinematography sector. Most musical artistes transform slowly from music to film. Music involves a lot of emotions and a strong message thus using it film enables young people to get their voice heard by the relevant authorities and the society in general. The 21st century has seen the rise in the production of animations and documentaries most of which revolve around science (McDonald & Birgel, 2015). Most engaged in drugs based on how they viewed or watched similar behavior on films.

Everything in a movie was perceived to be good since teenagers looked up to these characters and admired to be like them. This has led to the development of a generation where drug abuse was seen as a good thing. But now things have changed film producers have come to the realization that the use of drugs is killing the youths. Most of the actors and actresses have perished as a result of drug overdose. Young people are the most active social users such that some of them are addicted to specific platforms such as Instagram. These social platforms were meant to connect young people to the world while facilitating communications. However, some have resulted in misusing the platforms to cyber bully other people.
