There is a wide variety of food in the market which leaves one with a choice of what to eat and what not to eat. For instance, Zinczenko, David and Balko, Radley each depicts a different belief about this debate that has been in place for a long time. They have contradicted the opinion of this topic as authors argue differently. For instance, Caplan, Marvin agrees that the eating decision should be personal meaning that no one else should dictate what should be eaten and what should not. Currie, Janet, on the other hand agrees that some foods have effects on the human body meaning that there is need to take personal responsibility and make a good decision on the same. It is evident that there is need to have information on what to eat and the public should be informed on what to eat for them to make the right decision over the same.

Fast food companies have a role in informing the public on what they are providing and some of the side effects that consumers are exposed to when consuming a given product. Janet Currie agree with David Zinczenko that the public need to be informed on the dangers of fast food and they should avoid fast food since they are deadly and they lead to many diseases such as diabetes. The author believes that awareness is essential in deciding on what one should eat or not. Effects of Fast food on human health Other researcher who agree with David Zinczenko that fast food has unhealthy effects on human beings is Janet Currie. The author believes that no one has a right to dictate or suggest what one should eat or not since an individual faces the effects and the government should stop all that it is doing since it is not helping at all.

Reasons for unhealthy snacking Other researcher tried to prove why people should eat what they want and why one should consume fast foods and other unhealthy. People tend to eat unhealthy snacks due to various reasons, and some of the circumstances are unavoidable he states that “eating in case of a chance, dealing with negative emotions, appreciating a special occasion, self-rewarding, social pressure, and to increase energy” (Caplan 25). This means that people tend to eat unhealthy food during occasions when they are with friends and when under inference and pressure from others. Thus, they conclude that the tendency of eating fast food is a personal decision and people have a right to choose what they want to eat and therefore they should not be limited of forced into making decisions. One of the authors that have studied the importance of safe food is Amy Anderson.

she states that “applying high quality sampling ensured the use of suitable samples as test materials for toxicological, hazard identification and nutritional characterization of identified danger, in addition to estimating quality with consistent exposure of foods or related compounds of concern for humans. The significance of representative sampling is stressed through cases of risk analyses in various fields of foods production” (Anderson 223). The authors suggest that food safety should be given a priority. I agree with the authors that food safety is essential and always there is need to educate the public on what they should eat to avoid toxic consumption.  JSTOR, JSTOR, www. jstor. org/stable/41639350.
