Use of biometrics has promoted security in homes and people can only access their premises. The biometric locks are available in several sizes and shapes that fit any door (112). Use of fingerprints is the commonly used form of biometrics. Biometric for homes consists of three components: a sensor, computer, and software. Luckily, these are now problems of the past as the biometric does not require anyone to carry the gadget or door key with them. However, the use of biometrics has made people more reluctant about taking safety measures. Previously before the invention of biometrics people used to take great care of the opening gadgets. However, this does not seem necessary or guarantees a hundred percentage securities on the homes of Americans. If a thief or invader wants to steal anything from a house, they definitely will have access to the house and take what they want. For instance, currently, thieves or intruders have access to technological information. They, therefore, avoid using doors to access a house. And unless the homeowners tell the device passwords to anyone, then they have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, it is hard for a person especially to keep their passwords safe and confidential. A house of Americans with kids or several family members is hard to keep the biometric password a secret. In most cases, such people will either share the password with their friends or relatives.

It could mean that the door will be broken into which later on could need some repair. Buying a new door and a new door lock was an expense that most people used to incur (192). To conclude, from the above discussion, it is evident that biometrics are suitable for people of America. Passwords, key codes, and keys can easily get lost, be copied or stolen which threatens the security of a home, therefore with the invention of biometric at dwellings, Americans will no longer need to worry about such issues.  Guide to Biometrics.
