In class she was active enough, to an extent that she could attract the attention of all teachers on duty. She was always an obedient person and God fearing individual, she used to pray in class every morning, before studies commence. She had very few friends because she did not aspire to have a list of long fake friends, she would rather be alone. Among the friends she had, one of them was my beautiful sister called Linda. Linda was a quite hardworking student, who did not want to settle for less. Sometimes life was so unbearable for her, but she kept on clutching onto a straw, hoping one-day things will go strait. On the other hand, Linda and I had both parents, so at least they were able to take care of us.

We can say we were lucky to have parents who were always there for us, especially during schooling times. Lisa happened to be my best friend as well, as the saying goes a drowning man will clutch into a straw. Indeed in class, I was drowning especially during English lessons, so I decided to approach Lisa for help so as I improve. In Mexico life is not as harder as in other parts of the world; most Mexicans are average people in terms of materials and social standards. There is also a large economic gap, due to the fluctuation of international market prices, which have as a result increased the price of essential commodities, hence making it hard for people to afford.

These factors drove us to work hard in school to secure a better position than that of our parents. We could sometimes burn the mid-night candle trying to catch up with topics that appeared tricky for us. We could not afford to leave any stone unturned; we wanted to ensure that our desires have been quenched. Some years later, the three of us were all campus students; life was easy and good in the campus. Everyone was now an adult, and freedom was the theme of the day, no one could ask anyone about anything or instruct them to do anything. Linda was now an adult, and she had started indulging herself in drinking alcohol in nightclubs. To her, that was the fun she was looking for, so I did nothing about it.
