Since children have not yet met yet met the development levels of adults they basically require interventions which are designed to meet the specific requirements of their development needs. The use of art therapy is important to children because it enables them to express their feelings which they could not be easily accessed ordinarily. It will as well enable the counselor to be able to read and understand the inner language of the child (Galassi, 2017). Adolescents really face an increasingly demanding environment which will definitely increase the risk of injury as well as the tendency for them to be self-destructive. In the adolescence stage, the physical interaction and the psychological process of development as well pose a serious novelty seeking. The very first step is for the counselor to approach the young girl in a jovial mood which will make her feel like part of the session.

Make an attempt and tell the young girl to feel at home so that the fear of meeting the first time will not get into the counseling session, now that you had collected the information prior to the meeting them the counselor will point out the weaknesses of the girl and show that they are big achievements hence providing solutions (Carkhuff, 2017). Construct ‘resistance' can be conceptualized through basing it on the existing theories which will likely enable the counselor to develop solutions which are effective and efficient to the children while giving counseling services. It can be reframed as something positive through introducing a significant factor in the life of an individual to give it a new image in the minds of the client.

Some of the most appropriate responses to it is literary engaging the client in the whole process and ensuring that he or she is getting the real meaning of what she is expected to do in order to live a health free life which is free from stress. The cognitive behavioral therapy is a suitable theoretical orientation for counseling students because it is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach which specifically focuses on how an individual thinking influence their behavior and in this case the students can be used to assess their thinking capacity because most of them are in adolescent stage and behavior matters a lot. Culture can be considered through differentiating different categories of students with their gender and ethnic roles in society to make orientation choices in order to obtain the best counseling results.

For those in a secular class setting the best approach is to learn the basics of the child religion and get a concept of what it really entails in order to get the basis of the counseling session (American School Counselor Association, 2016). However, from the course readings, stress management is the most fundamental factor which is considered when describing an informed consent of counseling a minor particularly when it comes to understanding the basic requirements of a counseling setting. Students should be engaged in some counseling procedures which require the analysis and understanding of the basic requirements. Some of the most important play therapy skills which can be used for content tracking include taking having the child engaged in a toy and object play technique whereby the child can use the baby doll in the play as an instrument used to attract their attention hence being able to have the best scenario that would likely affect their self-esteem and the study of behavior.

For Glenda who is a 6 year old girl the best play therapy to engage her is the plush doll play which the therapist can present her to different stuffing animals and asked her to come with their own in order to confront the child to have the best response and forget about the divorce of their parents hence feeling as part of their family again not minding about the emotional torture her mother is going through. However, for Lee sue a 7-year-old Chinese American a therapy play for reflecting feelings is the best and most appropriate therapy which can enable him to flash back on the impacts of the fights and come back into his senses as well as enabling his emotions to be at peace.

Interpreting play to emotional content have the clear identification of who the client is and how they are going to go about with the existing theories as well as enabling the child to have perfect foundations of his work, the child can be engaged in drawings which provide a basic foundations of what is to be prepared at the end of the session (Garber et al 2017). The best therapy for ensuring that the therapist returns the response to the child is basically ensuring that engaging the child in the play therapy which will enable the child to get a clear understanding of what he or she going through. The use of motivational interviewing (MI) is the best strategy that counselors can use in dealing with t substance abuse because students are told the fact on drugs and the long-term implications.

This should be done early enough and ensuring that it opens up for honest and the tendency of reporting for drugs among the students (Bowers and Hatch, 2005). Depression as well is a very serious condition that affects adolescents and children. There are interventions which are helpful to adults but they are not really helpful to children due to the fact that both of them have a different perspective and thinking capacity. From the framework developed my McWhirter and colleagues those counselors who are handling depressed children should basically implement early interventions, preventions which involve the family, the community or the school as a social unit (American Diabetes Association, 2016).
