Proper management, planning and marketing of popcorn business make it a long lasting business with a lot of profits. Considerably, adults and children consider popcorn as their favorite snack during funs and celebrations. This makes it an easy going especially for the Californians who are known as fun-loving people. Popcorns appears on their menu during celebrations, ceremonies and occasional events. Considering all the importance attached to popcorn business, I have considered starting a Gourmet popcorn business. Gourmet popcorn shop will ensure all customers receive first class treatment any time they visit the shop. The various software will enable me together with the workforce to create and sustain a one on one relationship with all the customers regardless of the huge number we estimate to have.

The business will be run by a team of workers, directors and managers who will make decisions in consideration of customers especially if the decisions directly affect them. The vision statement The shop will major on popcorns that will be produced, prepared, made and distributed to customers. The vision is to become a major fast popcorn business in California and its environs. The Business Structure My business will be a unique one as my goal is to build an attractive Gourmet popcorn shop different from the usual pop businesses along the Long Beach street of California. The business shop may not be like the big ones we have around. Nevertheless, I target investing the right business structure that will facilitate building a popcorn business shop which will rhyme the few categories of the major snacks related to food businesses in California.

yI plan to hire qualified, customer-centric, trustworthy, good communicators and open-minded individuals who will assist in building an attractive Gourmet popcorn business. The established business should benefit everyone including myself as the owner, workforce and the targeted customers. He/she also arranges travels, meetings and appointment and will oversee the smooth running of the daily office activities. Popcorn maker He/she is in charge of making popcorns and carrying out all the casual jobs in the shops. Also, he plays the role of packaging for deliveries as well as handling other duties assigned to him/her by the manager. Marketing and sales manager This is the person required to coordinate the internal sources of information to retain the organizations best customers and attract new ones.

He should analyze the shop's information including the demographic and the customer purchases. Deliverers Timely deliver the customers' orders and correspondence for the business. Will be required to run an errand for Gourmet business and attend to any other duty assigned by the manager. Security guard Protects the shop and its environs as well as controls traffic and organizes parking within the business. He is expected to make patrols around the business on 24 hours basis and give security reports weekly. SWOT Analysis Since Gourmet popcorn business will be started on a small scale and closely offer the services given by other related businesses in California, I have consulted an expert in HR and Business analyst so that he can conduct my SWOT Analysis.

My delivery system even after requests via the social media platforms will be efficient, fast and reliable. I intend to keep the trend of customer's satisfaction within the business by creating products with consumer-friendly prices which will lead to strong revenue growth. Also, I can advertise on popcorns that have less fat content which will ensure attraction of more customers. Increase in these trends will automatically lead to more revenue hence business growth. The target markets The major targets markets include: Neighboring businesses looking for fresh popcorns to give to their customers Travelers in California Students studying in California and its environs People looking for modern and good shops to enjoy popcorn snacks Families looking for quality and affordable popcorns Sales and marketing strategy I have done comprehensive market feasibility study which guided me in choosing Long Beach, California as my business location.

Publicity and advertising strategies The publicity and advertising strategies are geared towards creating breathtaking brand awareness. I am focused at creating a corporate identity and boost the brand awareness in the popcorn shop through the following strategies: • Placing adverts on community-based radio and TV stations and newspapers • Publicizing by word of mouth from loyal customers • Making use of internet and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter among others. • Mounting billboards and banners t strategic locations within California • Giving flyers and leaflets to the students and residents of California • Contacting and informing corporate organizations, religious centers, households amongst others of the services and products • Branding the delivery vans and motorcycles as well as ensuring the employees are in well-designed uniforms • Building an attractive official website to ensure traffic is pulled to the site Pricing strategy The Gourmet popcorn business cannot be started without making a good decision on pricing.

I will ensure that the prices of the products are decided according to the versatility of the popcorn businesses. The prices will be lower and customer friendly to attract more to the business. I am optimistic of meeting the budget through raising the start-up capital from loan. The signing and submission of the important documents to facilitate the loan procedure are all completed hence I expect the loan soonest possible. Sustainability and expansion strategy The success of a business depends on its foundation, marketing strategy, awareness of brand created and the customer retention. This makes all the businesses struggle in striving to flourish in the current production world.
