Even so, in my opinion, the manner in which an individual chooses to be happy is solely their responsibility and does not necessarily depend on material wealth. While some argue that money is merely a fraction of all the elements that make up the concept of happiness, others contend that a full bank account will create the possibility for all the other wanted effects to become true. How often does a person find himself dreaming of being a millionaire or winning the lottery? Such visions and the experience of being wealthy are thought to have created a strong relationship between money and happiness. Hundreds of sources both printed and on the internet propose that the only way to achieve goals is by having the support of money in your pocket.

Many dreams of goals, but find themselves without money to reach them. Humanity has come a long way especially when it comes to the concept of money and happiness. Scholars have opined that in the contemporary world, almost every derives their happiness from money. In the past, before money became a craze in the society, the sources of happiness varied from one individual to another. Mostly, however, it was a pride to become a member of a spiritual group or even a social group more than it was a pride to have money. Perhaps the reason money was not important in the past was because of the composition of the society and everyone viewed the whole issue surrounding money. This does not happen without money.

As such, it is not a surprise to find people doing anything within their reach to make money and become influential. Another significant difference that can be pointed out in the debate between what people in the past used to look for money for completely different reasons in comparison with the present generation (Frank and Robert). One might think that the exposure to large sums of income might make a person unappreciative of little things in life such as grabbing a coffee with friends, watching a sunset or watching a movie (Johnson, Wendy, and Robert 62). One thing that should be understood about exposure to large sums of money is that it comes with other additional responsibilities. The thought that women are only interested in money and not love is the fact that haunts both rich and the poor. It haunts the poor because they do not have enough money to afford women. The rich, on the other hand, are haunted by this fact because they see that if they did not have the money, the woman would not be around to love them. This kind of anxiety among the rich rubbishes the fact that money is everything. For instance, if the business seeks to use safer inputs but the inputs are more expensive, the unit cost will rise. When this happens, it means the business will charge higher than their competitors offering the same product but using a less safe input.

The business thus finds itself in on edge thus building the pressure of normative orientation. The values that come with rich, the goals and ethics, all have to be discarded if staying afloat is anything to come by. This is one significant of anxiety and pressure for the rich. It is also thought that they are superior to others regarding decision making. This is a sure indication that happiness is not related to money if one belongs to other cultures of the world. Critical to mention too is the fact that the westerners have brought up their generations to believe that one is poor if they do not have money, and it doesn’t matter whether they have wealth in other forms.
