The name of the second wife in the play is Yelena. In the play, there are other two friend’s Vanya who is the brother to the dead wife of the professor and he has managed the estate all along and a local doctor who is known as Astrov, the two friends all fall under the Yelena’s spell. In the play there is also Sonya who is the first daughter of the professor who works with Vanya to ensure all the activities of the estate-run normally without any hitches, Sonya also has unrequited feelings for the local doctor. A crisis arises when the professor makes it known to everyone that he plans to sell the estate which acts as the home for Vanya and Sonya since they run the estate, the professor plans to sell the estate with a view to make investments and make more income for himself and his new wife.

Uncle Vanya is a really unique character in this Chekhov’s play because of the fact the play is just like a major reworking of his own play which was published a while earlier (Chekhov, 2016). The Caesar previously had refused the crown three times. They offer the crown to him in hopes that the crowd will beg him to accept the crown but the crowd does the opposite by applauding him for denying the crown which upsets him. On that particular day of the ides of March, the conspirators convince Brutus through forged letters from the Roman people and Brutus reads the letters and after a moral debate, he decides to join the conspiracy of thinking that the Caesar should be killed (MacCallum, 1967).

Clearly, the two plays involving both Julius Caesar and Uncle Vanya relate to our real world and this essay will discuss how the playwrights in these two plays translated to the real world themes respectively and the essay will tie the themes to real-world events. In addition, the essay will discuss the real world events that influenced the authors to write the plays. He explored the different cultures of the Russian people. Themes in the Uncle Vanya play In the uncle Vanya play a lot of themes are displayed, these themes are the expression of our real lives since we have such issues from time to time. Some of these themes displayed in the uncle Vanya play include the theme of mundanity.

Mundanity in the context of this play has two meaning one of the meanings is to be ordinary, boring, uninspired and dull and this shows how most characters perceived their lives and how they perceived themselves. The setting of this play is in Russia, with the exception of highlighting a few love encounters that are characterized by trivial events of their existence such as talking, waiting for meals and going for walks. Yelena the professor’s wife is also bored most of the times and he looks for a man to help her avoid her boredom. Yelena was attracted to Serebryakov because he was well known and educated and she hopes that she will lure him so as to make her life more interesting but she didn’t achieve that because serebryakov started being attracted to Astrov because she perceives him to be elegant and refined and Yelena finally opts not to act on his feelings and she resigns herself to boredom where she lacks any form of happiness.

Clearly I think in our daily lives we all find ourselves in such situations where we are bored by almost everything since we are used to facing it. In our daily lives we are used to the same routines each and every day, our daily routines include waking up, getting to work and later in the evening getting back at home and do the same normal chores and reside to bed. Clearly these routines make life boring for us and this brings about the theme of the play into our daily lives. Astrov also has the feeling that nothing matters at all because has lost the ability to care about a lot of things despite him being able to carry out his roles as a profession.

He expresses his futility in act 2 when he claims that he cannot get close to loving anyone despite the fact that he appreciates beauty. Yelena also experiences the feelings of futility she clearly does not look within herself but instead, she looks for others to change her life. She tells Sonya in Act 3 that she is really bored and Sonya volunteers to help her but she claims that she is not interested at any costs with the help from her. At some point in our lives we are also in situations of losing hope and giving up in things we want. Love is the feeling of connection with another person and in our daily lives we fall in love with other people.

Falling in love in our daily lives is closely associated with the feelings of lust, desire and physical attraction. This theme of love in the play links or is connected to our daily lives today. Themes in the Julio Caesar play The Julio Caesar play by William Shakespeare also contains a lot of themes which are displayed in the play, these themes also act as expressions of what we face we face in our real lives today. These themes are important and are often universal ideas that are explored in literal works. Similarly, the characters confuse their public and private selves which lead to transforming or hardening and dehumanizing of persons to ruthless political people. When Brutus wife ask him to confide with her Brutus clearly buffs his wife believing in the fact that he acts on the will of the people and he moves ahead to the conspiracy of the death of his close friend.

Brutus acts and falls into what the public thinks and wishes to kill Caesar who is the ultimate dictator which clearly put asides Brutus loyalty and friendship and shuns the facts that he is a friend to Caesar. Cassius is seen as a person who invades the public persona and Caesar while explaining to Antony on why he distrusts Cassius he tells him that his problem is lack of private life and his refusal to nurture his own spirits and acknowledge his own possibilities. Caesar further fears such a man will let nothing hinder his ambitions. The authors of the plays clearly knew the issues that affect most of the people. For the Casers play the themes of betrayal, being undecided effects most of our leaders today, therefore, William Shakespeare had that in mind.
