The doctrine was given out on December 2nd, 1823(Hart 67) The doctrine was executed in 1965 when development government of United Stated put on the military pressure to support the president of Mexico, Benito Juarez. The proposal was sent to President Monroe who seeking advice from Jefferson and Madison (Coleman 87). Jefferson responded that by saying America should not include itself with matters of Europeans, the European not interfering with the hemisphere was of great importance that the US would be told to approve the offer the British were giving Andrew Jackson vision Jackson had a vision of making the democracy of united stated was for a common citizen to be able to access it. Economic benefits of slavery in old South. The good soils and climate in the South made it possible to practice agriculture. The growth of sugar tobacco rice hemp and wheat improved the economy of the south. Because there was insufficient labor, the owner of lands bought African slaves to work on their big farms and even those with small farms used labors as they could afford. The region started developing and there was the development of industries especially to process of manufacture the local material or take the natural resources. It was an advantage to use slaves than free white men because the cost of hiring free white men hired they could even strike or quit compared to the slaves. They added that because of the emerging of cotton as an important crop in the nation it was necessary to have slaves. After 1830, many factors make the people from the south defend slavery differently. They started arguing about slavery being a good thing. Therefore, they worked hard to see strict laws were passed against the slaves who ran away. Methods used by abolitionists They used different ways to make their point all over, to try and make a difference on slavery in the US. One of the abolitionists was John Brown. John gathered around men who were against slavery and tried a revolution. He started his revolution at Harper’s ferry around Washington DC. However, in her book, she had never visited the cotton plantation but used the literature of abolitionist and her thoughts.
