Document Type:Coursework
Subject Area:Business
The major problem is usually on how to do away with the barriers which prevent their ability to overcome the challenges faced throughout the operations of an organization (Ramesh, K, 2018). The present paper aims at analyzing the operational barriers to success in an organization. There are different tools which can be used by an organization to help in identifying the barriers which hinder their success and thereafter make a successful move to its financial and innovative set goals. The companies which have made the use of these tools in identifying their barriers to success have a great advantage as this helps them in planning and coming up with ways on how to correct such. What contributes towards the failure of an organization is lack of tools needed for success by the employees as they are advised to be innovative without being given the necessary tools.
An external contractor will definitely help in establishing the problems facing the organization and the relevant solutions. An organization can also make use of the work flow analysis to determine the progress of the organization as this will help in defining the areas which need much attention. The tool of employee and customer surveys can also be applied in identifying operational barriers. Both the customers and employees can help and contribute towards the success of a company by giving out their views and also reporting their challenges and dissatisfaction to the top management. Another tool which can be used by a company in identifying the barriers preventing them from achieving financial and innovative set goals is data and organizational charts. During the start of the company, the employees possessed great ideas and were passionate and tuned to the environmental changes in technology and markets.
With time, the company realized better returns which made it to be more successful in its operations and as a result, the leaders became self-satisfied and this contributed to their failure in listening to their innovative workers. The company realized their mistakes very late. However, filing for bankruptcy gave Kodak an opportunity to start up and reestablish their corporate strategy with better mindset which made the leaders to focus on innovation of their employees (Kotter, 2012). In my own view concerning overcoming of the obstacles which Kodak faced during its operation, if I was an a leader I would have made sure that I preserve more time for the employees to be in a position to concentrate on creativity and innovation. , Arun, C.
