Patient and Family Preference in Healthcare

In other words, decision making about medical care of the patient will include contributions from the patients themselves or the family decisions. While working in the hospital, I was assigned to care for an accident victim who had broken his ribs and needed urgent medical attention. The man aged 35 years was supposed to undergo surgery to correct the rib problem and have his bones repaired. I was tasked with the work of preparing him for surgery in three days’ time ad I thought it was the right time to utilize patient and family preference to provide the best medical care and service for the man. I visited the patient in his ward to inform him of his health status and briefed him on the preceding medical procedures to be conducted on him.
