The ideal spacing for the crop is usually 7-12 inches. The spacing varied concerning the available moisture, soil type and the fertility of the soil. To help in retention of the water, it is critical to carry out mulching, fustigation or use other cover crops in the same field. The newly harvested potatoes can be sold immediately while still fresh to the market. Most of the consumers and restaurants prefer the use of fresh potatoes as they provide them with the right texture and flavours when cooked. Nevertheless, an excess amount of these products can also be stored for future use. On the other hand, in a large scale magnitude, new technology may be required to help in promoting the quantity and efficiency of the entire process. The best oil to be used in this context is corn oil, peanut oil or any other solid hydrogenated form. The ideal temperatures to help in achieving the frying process should be maintained at 195 degrees. During the procedure, some bubbles may be witnessed as a result of a reaction between moisture and the oil in the pan. On the other hand, they are more likely to deteriorate faster as compared to the correctly dried chips. It has been noted with a lot of concern that the high temperatures help to ensure proper drainage of the oil hence less retention. During the drying, other additional flavours such as chilli powered, and pepper may be added to help in promoting the delicious nature of the product. The well-prepared chips or crisps can be served directly as a main meal or as a supplement of other meals. During the period, the crisps should be served at room temperature while the chips are preferred while hot. Therefore, they should be packaged as soon as possible.

On the other hand, it is essential to avoid sealing the packages before the entire cooling process is achieved. This trend may result in condensation of moisture inside the packets and make the contents soft. Health Concerns Despite the high consumption level of chips and crisps across the globe, several health care providers, as well as human crusaders, have posed their concerns on the general effects of the mean on human health. For instance, Aykas, and Rodriguez-Saona (2016) believes that the high level of protein and fat content in these meals is the primary cause of obesity and other related health challenges that are faced by people across the globe.

According to the reports that were postulated by Fouda et al. it was noted that millions of American children are in the verge of developing obesity and other related complications due to the increasing consumption of these products. The damages that have been created by these products include high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases. The growing practice of the potatoes is sustainable as it takes a relatively short period to mature. The entire process requires less input to help it mature to a better product. In most cases, these packets can be used for future use. The nutrition value of the product and the consumer culture continue to make it more sustainable. In ideal cases, the food is preferred as a rich source of protein and fiber. The main challenge faced by the farmers is marketing the potatoes resulting in the exploitation of farmers by the traders.
