These characteristics include; legal equality, political freedom and the rule of law. i. ) Legal Equality Legal equality is a principle stating that every independent individual has the right to be treated equally as any other individual by the law and that everyone is subject to the same laws of justice (Price, 2017). Therefore it is the duty of the law to guarantee that not a single individual nor group of individuals enjoys any form of privileges or is discriminated against by the government. These two antagonizing classes consists of the working class who in order to survive must work. The working class makes up the majority of citizens within the society (Price, 2017). ii. ) Communist cultures: The Chinese communist party reserves the right to make broad decisions on policies which are later implied by later government institutions. The government has clearly outlined policies determining the level of distribution of investments and funds (Pieke, 2017). b. ) Democratic cultures: In a democratic system, politicians must consequently do all they can in order to preventconflicts that arise from mutual ignorance resulting into stereotypes towards religion (Sherraden & Gilbert, 2016). Problems arise when the authorities try to use religion for their own ends, or when religions try to control the authorities. Democratic states, whether secular or linked to a religion, must allow all religions to develop in the society. This promotes a peaceful atmosphere in the country. ii. ) weakness: i. ) Allows misuse of public funds: A lot of public resources are wasted in exercises like the general elections which costs the state a lot of revenue (Sherraden & Gilbert, 2016). ii. ) Instigates corruption: Those elected into office are at times found to use unethical ways to gain unfair advantages (Sherraden & Gilbert, 2016).
