Summary and reflection of the caging of America
According to Gopnik (72), he discusses that the caging system in US didn’t start with trump and it was present from time immemorial. It is believed that about six million people are caged in US including children and some of them are in correctional cages (Gopnik 77). In the US-Mexico border alone it is stated that about 2300 children have been separated from their mothers and placed in cages. The correctional measures that the prisoners undergo looks to be harsh and this has attracted many humanitarians in US who have gone ahead and launched demonstrations against this confinement and they looked to appeal to the government to revise some of the caging measures. Many people view this as torture but in America they go ahead and put millions in cages and call it fair.
