Due process rights will help protect teachers from favouritism hence getting motivated to teach students. With this, it will help improve the performance of the students since the teacher is assured of tenure. Since these contracts are binding, a teacher may be forced to receive a wage that is below that of the market hence can be demotivating. This eventually affects the performance of the students. Nonetheless, teacher unions protect the rights of teachers from being removed from a given school.
