Similar to any society within the United States that has been facing constant development, Harbor city has been in an array of development where the community came up with a housing plan to ensure that the increasing number of people within the community have an area to live within. As such, the social issue that will be the focus of the paper is the increasing number of people within the area and also the need for better and improved housing plans within the community. Based on the provided data, the residential area within Harbor City Community accounts for around 1,800 acres with more than 20,000 houses within the region. Within the same provided data, there are around 57% families living in the region, and as such, the need for better housing mechanisms is of great need (Harbor City).

In addition, the distribution of age within the region as far as the housing plans are concerned can be viewed as another aspect that may call for the need for developmental housing mechanisms within the region as the housing stock within the region is over 30 years of age while a few can be considered to be over 50 years. The other group of stakeholder, which include the business and real estate investors are also vital as they will provide the capital that is required for the housing projects to develop the area. Therefore, these are the major stakeholders that will be of great influence to the social issue of housing within Harbor City Community in general. These stakeholders will directly impact the social issue, and that is the reason behind their selection.
