The portrait painting is believed to be of Lisa Gherardhi who was the wife of Francesco delGiocondo (Carbon & Vera 184). The painting by Leonardo da Vinci is believed to have been done between 1503 and 1506 although other scholars argue that there are possibilities for Leonardo da Vinci to have continued with the Mona Lisa portrait painting in 1517(Kemp & Giuseppe 32). The Mona Lisa portrait painting by is made of a conundrum as well as perplexing beauty. This paper will focus on expounding on the mystery as well as beauty associated with the Leonardo da Vinci’s portrait of Mona Lisa. It is enigmas to establish if Lisa Gheradhi who is in the painting is either happy or sad. Art historians identified very tiny numbers as well as letter contained in the enigmatic Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci (Tamir 112).

The numbers as well as the letters are located in the eyes and can only be identified with the help of a magnifying glass. Some of the letters contained in the painting are LV and CE. Although the letters LV can be assumed to stand Leonardo da Vinci no one is certain if the painted meant so. Furthermore, it is also difficult to establish if the painting is complete or incomplete(Garrard 77). The painting contains a mesmerizing gaze which is seductive and shyly (Tamir 112). The painting can be confused with a photograph because of its beauty as it contains some features which as seen in real life. The eyes in the painting contain lustre as well as watery sheen which are found in a real person.
