Introduction Work Ethic is a concept that many children and young adults in our day and age take extremely lightly. Many adolescents of the 21’st century were not instilled with a hardworking attitude while working and/or looking for work. Many individuals believe that Work Ethic is an attitude that is stable, meaningful, and healthy.

Research shows that a strong work ethic at a younger age is a high predictor of a strong work ethic at a later age (Ter, Raaijmakers & Van Wel, 2005). “Work ethic is part of a broader field of attitudes, identified as cultural conservatism. com) I plan to measure the work ethic of adolescents using a self report, Likert scale questionnaire. Methods Participants Procedure Measures Existing Measures The Multidimensional Work Ethic Profile (MWEP). The MWEP is a 65-item existing inventory measure which measures seven empirically and conceptually separate facets of a work ethic construct (work ethic of the young adults) (Meriac, 2015). This scale is not meant for the selected population but it measures the specific features of work ethic for the selected population.

All the items in this inventory will be rated on a Five-Point Likert scale as shown in the Appendices where the scale will range from 1= Strongly Disagree to 5=Strongly Agree. It is important for you to build a career for yourself. You can do useful things in your leisure time, but a regular job remains more important. I only feel that I completely belong to an organization when I have a regular job. A job gives substance and meaning to my life. You live to work. They were given these items in random order and the subjects were asked to rate their agreement with each of the 6-point Likert-type scale, from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree” (Lacroix, Gifford, 2018). Additionally, Climate Change Risk Perception Index was selected from a previous study.

In this study they were used to measure the level of perceived risk. The participants were asked to respond to a series of nine questions on 4-point scales. The response wording varied slightly for these questions, from “not concerned” to “very concerned,” or from “not likely” to “very likely,” or from “not serious” to “very serious.
