Usage Of Product Visuals (Photographs) Further, in order for Walmart to remain at its best and have the highest sales performance, it has to adopt some of the latest models of influencing product sales within its fleet of stores that suit and match every customer segment. Therefore, one of the best ways to do so is the usage of product visuals (photographs) of the available array of offerings to its customers. Walmart has consistently ensured that the products it offers identify with the needs of its customers and is internally aligned with what its customers hear, experience, think, read and more significantly what they see by using imagery, photographs, online animations of items showcasing a particular brand of items that it sells to customers.

Photographs capture the imagination and attention of every consumer and has a longest impact as compared to that which is written or inscribed on the commodities (Moore, 2017). Moreover, Wal-Mart has accustomed itself to best in class visual signage which creates lasting impression on the customer’s way of thinking which determines their emotional reactions to products and brands (Yu, 2018). Therefore, customers in Wal-Mart are able to make productive decisions that meet the sales goals of Wal-Mart. Customers receive updated information every step of the way with the status of their goods according to the offers, promotions and discounts available in the visual presentation. Similarly, mobile message platforms is used in the communication system with customers and suppliers to foster longer term relationships through product discounts which help them save money (Yu, 2018).

Mobile phone usage in the social media platforms such as Twitter, applied to reach a wide variety of customers and meet their growing demands. Therefore, the following are recommendations for changes in design, display and merchandising that would increase organizational sales and performance. First, with respect to merchandising practice, Wal-Mart should develop a solutions-based promotional and customer-oriented merchandising strategy that single-handedly focuses on offering value proposition. This activity could be carried out by development of optimal assortment of commodities within the store from a centralized point according to each customer segment (Bauer, 2016). According to this framework, Walmart stores would be better prepared to push sales and reduce costs and increase shopper experiences. Secondly, the changes in design should be geared towards an interface that simplifies work for shoppers.
