I became somehow surprised at some of the differences and I thought that they were abnormal therefore I withdrew myself from associating with some of my classmates who had a different skin color. This reaction was because some children think that the black skin meant that the members are dangerous when it is not the case (Anon, 2018). However, my mum kept on demystifying my thinking by telling me that it is normal for some people to have a different skin color due to their continent of origin. I then realized that it was nature and stopped the habit of isolating myself from such classmates. This is because diversity is as a result of nature and no one has chosen to be found wherever they are now in terms of all the aspects of diversity.

My thinking is that the different authorities in the different locations of the world should not allow such negative sentiments to divide people or make others less privileged that their counterparts on the basis of natural diversity. It is due to this that world bodies such as the world football governing body FIFA has put strict anti-racial rules and penalties to make all players the same. Children in classrooms should also not be judged according to their diversity backgrounds as such a move could create hatred and low self-esteem for those who are being branded as inferior (Ctl. yale. Therefore, the children in a classroom from diverse backgrounds should not be treated equal without any bias (Ctl. yale. edu, 2018). The Importance of Exploring my beliefs on Diversity and Bias A student who will become a teacher in future has to explore his assumptions and beliefs on diversity and bias since he is expected to be dealing with them without any bias because he is expected to be knowing all the facts concerning diversity (Anon, 2018).
