The video brings out various ethical issues which are quite important to note. One of the ethical issues is the importance of putting on a seat belt, in both cases, Steven Levitt discusses car seats and seatbelts (Levitt 2008). Both cases seatbelts are present, and the child has put on the belt, he brings out the relevance and importance of putting on a belt. Based on his statistics, individuals who have put on seatbelts are safer than individuals who have not put on seatbelts in the occurrence of an accident. This brings out the significance of a seatbelt; this is because seatbelts prevent an individual from moving out of the chair once a crash has occurred (Levitt & Porter 2001). This is a wake-up alarm to all individuals and particularly parents who travel with their children.
There is no good reason to why parents and guardians should buy such expensive car seats for their children yet they are not secure for their children incase of a car crash. As social scientists who are concerned with eliminating these issues, we should take the following precautions and strategies to ensure that they are not present in data gathering. Extensive research should be carried out before giving out or presenting the final report. We should fully exhaust our research tactics in order to ensure that we get the correct and appropriate data and results, by doing so we shall be in a position to present facts about certain issues.
